Kursk legacy: Will there ever be another massive tank battle?
It's 70 years since Kursk, the largest ever tank battle. Will there ever be another battle involving thousands of tanks on each side or has armoured warfare had its day? Link to BBC web site.

According to newly available Soviet military documents only declassified in the 90's there were only around 500 tanks per side on the 'tank field' at Prokhorovka, far from the 3000 per side as has often been claimed. 'Demolishing the Myth' by Valeriy Zamulin is an excellent resource to those documents.
